Some expertly carved pumpkins and gourds decorated the studio last weekend during the 2011 Central Art Walk. Over 150 visitors came by to view the works of our 7 artists, and many more visited the other studios on the Saturday and Sunday. Luckily, the weather held out and gave us the only 2 sunny days in the past few weeks.

Breathing new life into old pieces.

Getting restocked for the Central Art Walk. Lots to do. Going to get the studio back into shape.

A minimalist art installation.

We came here to sell art and chew bubble gum. And we're all out of gum.
So we got some coffee.

Playing with crackling paste.

Just got my film from the Impossible Project. They started making film for Polaroid cameras, so now my SX-70 is useful again. Going to make some neat art projects using this new film.
Go analogue!

Had some last-minute inspiration.

Managed to appropriate the red chair from now defunct One Red Chair coffee shop. It needs some TLC, and maybe some reupholstering.
Hope to use it in some photoshoots, and maybe make it part of World Domination HQ.

It's for sale, just south of Bond Head, Ontario. Looks great, and just under $9000 with a rebuilt engine.

Time for a new hobby. Figured I could try a little something like arc welding rebars.

Painting today. With a cat on my head. It's not my cat, either. And he's really sharp.

Or is it 'hardly working'?

IGNORE THIS!

It's not big news, but I built a new sandwich board for the studio for the upcoming art walk.

The text is laser-printed and glued to the board under a thick coating of gloss gel applied with a 5" print roller. Sort of a gel encaustic collage.
