We had a brief hiccup, but now we’re back online, with all the latest software!
Local Art Collective #Exnovates
Just sharing a little press we received from the #Exnovation show at THEMUSEUM a few months back. Yes, I like blogging, but I’m lazy.
The first is a quote from The Community Edition:
“Iä! Iä!” screams an acrylic typewriter, its keys assaulted by the enormous tentacles of an octopus-like beast beaming from the centre of a small, square painting.
“It’s based on Lovecraft,” explained D.H. McKee, co-creator of the mixed-media painting, “Non-Euclidean Poetry,” currently on display at THEMUSEUM. The phrase is taken from “Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn”: a call used to summon an elder god.

We also got our painting mentioned as one of the favourites at Culture Fancier, a regional arts blog.
Not too shabby, eh?
For those who missed the show, here’s a full version of the painting:

Collective Identity’s #Exnovation Show
Hi folks, we’re gearing up for the #Exnovation show. It’s Collective Identity’s big 2017 exhibition, and it’s coming up soon. Ryan Brooks and I are happy to be part of this of this collaborative event.
Join us January 12th at 7pm at THEMUSEUM, where Ryan and I will be unleashing our work, “Non-Euclidean Poetry.” Here are some samples.
Come to the show (https://www.facebook.com/events/916571355144206/) to see the full piece and many other collaborations.

Artist Ryan Brooks and I are working on a couple of ideas for the #Exnovation project
The concept is to share a work, 50-50 between a couple of artists. Instead of working on half of a canvas, our plan is to have us overlap our work, one on top of the other. I’ve provided the first part, and we’ll see what Ryan does with it.
Here’s the first part:
K-W Central Art Walk
Ink and Watercolour Jackpine
A waterproof ink and watercolour version.
18″x24″ on canvas. Part of a landscape class I was doing recently.
I’m doing a little watercolour class at the Button Factory. It’s my first watercolour in maybe ten years.
